About the center

The Center for Translational Medicine (CTM) is a bridge between laboratory research and patient care, advancing scientific discoveries into real-world medical treatments. By fostering collaboration among scientists, clinicians, and industry partners, the center aims to accelerate the development and implementation of innovative therapies, diagnostics, and preventive measures. With a focus on interdisciplinary research and cutting-edge technology, the center supports the translation of basic science into clinical applications that improve patient outcomes, reduce disease burdens, and promote public health. Additionally, the center is committed to training medical students, equipping them with the tools and knowledge needed to tackle complex health challenges and drive meaningful advances in medicine.

Research areas
  1. Food Allergy

Research in food allergy is essential to uncover the mechanisms that trigger allergic responses and developing effective strategies to prevent, diagnose, and treat these conditions. At CTM, we focus on developing novel therapeutic approached that help desensitize patients or prevent allergic reactions. Ultimately, we seek to reduce the global burden of food allergy, protect those at risk, and empower patients and their families with safer options and better management strategies.

  2. Cancer research

At CTM, we are dedicated to understanding the underlying causes, mechanisms, and progression of cancer to develop more effective methods for prevention, diagnosis, and treatment. Our main aim is to identify targeted therapies that precisely attack tumors and to enhance the body’s natural defenses to create treatments that are more selective and effective than traditional methods against cancer.
