Dear Class of 2029,

It is with great joy and pride that I welcome you to the California Northstate University College of Medicine. On behalf of our faculty, staff, and administration, I extend our heartfelt congratulations on your acceptance into one of the most noble and challenging professions: a career in medicine.

This year’s incoming class is truly exceptional. You bring with you a rich diversity of experiences, perspectives, and academic achievements. Collectively, you represent a wide spectrum of undergraduate institutions across the nation, from Ivy League universities to the esteemed campuses of the UC system, from private liberal arts colleges to large public research institutions.

I would also like to acknowledge the incredible work of our Admissions Committee, faculty, and staff. It is through their dedication, discernment, and commitment to our values that we have the privilege of welcoming such a remarkable group of future physicians.

The medical school received 3,461 applications, interviewed 504 candidates, and enrolled 118 students, with 109 in-state and 9 out-of-state. The enrolled class had an average MCAT score of 513.3, an average BCPM GPA of 3.78, and an overall GPA of 3.83, with 11% holding graduate degrees. The gender distribution was 46% male and 54% female students. This data reflects a competitive admissions process with a strong academic profile.

As you begin this next chapter, know that you have our full support. We are excited to guide and mentor you on your path to becoming knowledgeable, ethical, and visionary leaders in healthcare.
