The California Northstate University College of Medicine Urology and Nephrology Student Interest Group (Uro/Nephro SIG) aims to expand knowledge and interest in Urology, Nephrology, and its associated subspecialties. Uro/Nephro SIG is led by medical students and hosts talks by physicians in urology and nephrology.
The mission statement of this SIG is to educate the CNU community about what it looks like to work in urology and nephrology such that students have a better idea about what the field has to offer. By exposing them to the field prior to clerkships, the Urology and Nephrology SIG can help students make a more informed decision about whether to consider urology or nephrology as a future speciality. We hope to raise awareness for urologic and nephrologic diseases and donate to these causes through fundraising for related nonprofits.
