We are a group of students at CNU who aim to promote and grow interest in cardiology for CNUCOM students. We aim to show students the different aspects of cardiology through group discussion, workshops and guest speakers.
The mission of the Cardiology SIG is to grow interest in cardiology. Heart disease remains the number one cause of death for adult Americans; therefore, a comprehensive understanding of cardiology is essential for tackling cardiovascular related pathology. We aim to develop future cardiologists that will be helping Americans with their problems guided by knowledge, experience and compassion.
The Cardiology SIG’s core values include open dialogue between students and guest speakers, promoting hands-on activities, and fostering interest in cardiology.
We seek to grow interest in cardiology to all CNUCOM students through activities, guest speakers and discussion. We believe in making cardiology a more approachable specialty to study and pursue as a career option.
