CNUCOM American Medical Women’s Association

Description

The American Medical Women’s Association (AMWA) is an organization of women physicians, medical students and other persons dedicated to serving as the unique voice for women’s health and the advancement of women in medicine. The AMWA-CNU became official national AMWA chapter in 2018, and our chapter serves to increase awareness of AMWA and its mission, develop collaboration and mentorship between students at CNU and across our schools in our region, engage in community service-learning opportunities, facilitate discussion and education of AMWA-related issues through speaker and networking events, such as our annual Women in Medicine Panel Provide workshops to advance women in medicine (e.g. salary negotiation, women’s health).

Mission Statement

The American Medical Women’s Association is an organization which functions at the local, national, and international level to advance women in medicine and improve women’s health.
