About

After finishing his fellowship in 2007, Dr. Pai and his family moved from Framingham, MA to Sacramento to join the Capital Nephrology Medical Group. Becoming his main practice location, it has allowed him to serve the Elk Grove and South Sacramento areas. He has been involved with the College of Medicine since its inception providing lectures in the Renal block. In 2022, he joined the faculty as an Associate Professor of Medicine assisting in Medical Skills for first and second-year medical students. He has also taken the role as Course Director for the Renal System. When Dr. Pai is not at work, he enjoys time with his family watching movies and sports, traveling, and running with his dog Happy.

Research

Dr. Pai’s main interests are Transplant Medicine, Chronic Kidney Disease, and Glomerulonephritis
