Congratulations to Elaine Cheung, CNU College of Medicine class of 2024, for being awarded the best medical student research oral presentation at the annual Chinese American Medical Society (CAMS) 2021 Scientific Conference held on November 7, 2021. Her presentation was titled: “Socio-ecological factors of psychological distress among Asian American young adults during the COVID-19 pandemic in the United States”. Elaine conducted epidemiological research looking at community mental health disparities during the COVID-19 pandemic with the support of Dr. Anne Saw and the Chicago Asian American Psychology Lab.
