About

Dr. Woodruff has broad experience in family medicine, academic medicine, and health system leadership. After completing his residency training from Florida Hospital Family Medicine Residency, Dr. Woodruff returned to Loma Linda University to become the Founding Program Director of their new Family Medicine residency. He then spent many years in private family medicine practice in Spokane, WA before leading Columbia Medical Associates, a multispecialty partner of Group Health Permanente. He later returned to Loma Linda University School of Medicine as Chair of the Department of Family Medicine along with leading a primary care initiative for the health system.

Dr. Woodruff’s passion in medicine is providing the highest quality of medical care from a heart perspective creating wholeness in the healing relationship. This also fosters resilience for physicians and is a foundation for medical education.
