About

In 1974, Dr. Chen immigrated from Taiwan to the United States with her parents. After completion of Internal Medicine residency at Georgetown University, she was in private practice in Arlington, Virginia and Nashville, Tennessee before moving to California and joined UC Davis Primary Care Network in 2001. During her tenure with UC Davis, Dr. Chen was actively involved in teaching medical students, nurse practitioner students and physician assistance students. In addition, she volunteered her weekends serving as a preceptor for VNCARE, a UC Davis student run free clinic for the underserved community. Due to family obligations, she retired from UC Davis in December 2020. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and watching sports in her free time. Dr. Chen joined California Northstate University College of Medicine in 2021.
