About

Dr. Arenson has served as a Consulting Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist in Sacramento for over 30 years, and as President of Sacramento Gastroenterology Medical Group. He has also served for periods as Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at U.C. Davis Medical School, as Chairman of the Department of Medicine, Chief of Gastroenterology, and Director of the Gastrointestinal Motility Laboratory all at Sutter Sacramento Hospitals, and as Co-director of the Sacramento Midtown Endoscopy Center. At CNU College of Medicine Dr. Arenson is Director of the Gastroenterology Course, Chair of the Pre-clinical Course Committee, and serves on the Curriculum Committee and the Assessment and Evaluation Committee.

Research Interests

Dr. Arenson’s research interests include hepatic fibrosis, liver disease in HIV/AIDS, and colon cancer.
