About

Dr. Preiss-Farzanegan is a fellowship-trained Sports Medicine physician with primary board certification in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. She joined CNUCOM faculty in 2022 as Co-Director of Medical Skills. Dr. Preiss-Farzanegan has been working with the medical school since 2015 as a volunteer community faculty, teaching musculoskeletal medical skills, mentoring student interest groups in PM&R and Sports Medicine, and facilitating and supervising medical students in community service activities. In the community, Dr. Preiss-Farzanegan volunteers as the Safety Director for the local Little League Board of Directors. And as an Assistant District Administrator for California District 54 Little League, she is responsible for developing, implementing, evaluating, and improving the district safety program. Her personal interests include playing and coaching soccer, playing the piano, and spending time with her family.

Research

Dr. Preiss-Farzanegan’s research interests include injury prevention in youth athletes, community education programs, and concussion injuries.
