About

Prior to coming to CNU College of Medicine, Dr. Ernst taught medical neuroscience at a number of universities including Ross University on the island of Dominica and the University of Medicine and Health Sciences on the island of St. Kitts. He was a Fulbright scholar in Nepal in 2010 where he taught medical neuroscience and conducted research into mindfulness meditation.

Research Interest

His PhD research was focused on development of the vertebrate visual system with particular focus on the role of the signaling molecules nitric oxide and brain derived neurotrophic factor.
