About

Dr. Locke brings over 31 years of experience in OB-GYN after practicing at Kaiser Permanente South Sacramento. Throughout his tenure, he held several leadership roles, including Assistant Chief, Maternal Child Health M.D. Director, Co-lead of the TPMG Regional Cervical Cancer Screening Guidelines Group, and Principal Investigator for the Guidelines IRB. Dr. Locke has also made significant contributions to regional perinatal safety initiatives and the development of OB-GYN content for KP HealthConnect, Kaiser’s electronic medical record system.

A Sacramento native, Dr. Locke joined California Northstate University College of Medicine with the goal of inspiring and training future physicians to become compassionate caregivers for the community.

Research Interests

Dr. Locke’s research focuses on advancements in cervical cancer screening, utilizing KPNC’s extensive database of HPV and Pap tests in collaboration with the NCI. His work has significantly influenced national screening guidelines, evolving the approach from Pap testing alone to co-testing and HPV primary with Dual-Stain triage. Additionally, he is deeply committed to patient safety and physician wellness.
