About
Dr. Uddin graduated from Karachi University with B.Sc. (Hon) in Zoology and M.Sc. in Physiology. He obtained his Ph.D. from Department of Physiology, University of Saskatchewan, Canada. Following two years of Post-Doctoral Fellowship in the Department of Anatomy, McGill University, Dr. Uddin was offered an Assistant Professorship in the department of anatomy to teach gross, neuroanatomy and embryology and associated labs at Ross University School of Medicine, Dominica. At the end of his contract Dr. Uddin briefly joined Department of Anatomy, University of Saskatchewan and then moved to Meharry Medical College, Nashville, TN to teach gross anatomy and associated labs. He then accepted a second contract to teach gross anatomy and neuroanatomy at Ross Medical School, Dominica. In 2011 Dr. Uddin accepted an offer to teach gross anatomy and labs at Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine, Dothan, Alabama.

Over the years Dr. Uddin gained substantial experience utilizing various teaching modalities such as problem based learning (PBL), team based learning (TBL), didactic lecture mode, and small group learning.

Dr. Uddin has also served on many important committees including Student promotion, Faculty promotion, Faculty council, Internal review board ( IRB), Admissions and Research to name a few.

Research Interest
His research interest is in the area of Hypertension and 0xidative stress. He has twenty peer reviewed publications and numerous abstracts to his credit. He was also awarded NIH Mentored Faculty Development Grant for five years at Meharry Medical College, Nashville, TN.
